“Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy” is the process of psychotherapy with a client who is in the hypnotic altered state of consciousness which gives you the ability to dip into the unconscious and bring the unconscious material back into the waking state of consciousness.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)" is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.

The hypnotic state in which this work is done is light and there is no possibility of implanting suggestions that the conscious mind does not agree to. The client in the hypnotic state used for clinical hypnotherapy is fully aware of his or her surroundings and interacts with the therapist with the goal of opening a door between the subconscious and the conscious mind in order to effect life-long transformation.

in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If a foreign object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it festers and causes pain. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes.

The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental health. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned in EMDR therapy training sessions, I can assist my clients in activating their natural healing processes.

My life experiences and education have clarified my commitment to become a culturally competent professional that advocates for anyone seeking & committed to change in their life or current situation.

Opportunity has materialized for me through the gifts an education provides, and although the learning process is challenging I approach it with an understanding of its power to turn distress into success.

I understand that life presents us at times with seemingly insurmountable challenges however, regardless how formidable the challenge, when presented with skilled support, and unconditional positive regard the human spirit can rise.

My life experiences & formal education have uniquely instilled in me the characteristics needed to attract, relate, then respond to clients reluctant to participate in counseling services. "This means you!!!!"

It’s widely acknowledged that couples therapy is the most challenging. The stakes are high. You’re dealing with volatility. There are often secrets…

"I help facilitate safe & effective communication that gets to the core issues."

Marriage & Family Therapist, MA, LMFT, CTRS

I have had the privilege to see and be a part of the changes people are making and it is remarkable and empowering!

Finding a therapist and beginning therapy can be intimidating; I create a uniquely safe, non-judgmental, and professional environment that makes this process validating rather than degrading and stigmatizing.

I would be honored to be a part of your growth and am committed to helping you be empowered in your change process.

I am dedicated to serving individuals, couples and families. I have found a passion for helping couples create an empowering, committed relationship and have training in Emotional Focused Therapy.

I am experienced with helping parents and families create a secure, structured environment in which they can develop, thrive, and excel. I help individuals, couples, and families work with and around issues related to religion and spirituality, specifically (but not limited to) the LDS faith.

I work from an attachment focused perspective; my main focus is helping clients create safe, secure and trusting relationships. Safety and security are imperative in all relationships; marital, parent-child, and sibling relationships.

I am Prepare & Enrich certified and have experience with family and team building workshops. I currently facilitate sexual addiction recovery groups (Sons of Helaman) for LDS males ages 12 to 25.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or inquiries.
